  • WEB - Where Everyone Belongs

    Posted October 10, 2014

These past two days have been an exciting time for our WEB Leaders along with the “new to Valley” students! Leaders had an opportunity to meet with their small groups, leading activities that highlighted the importance of our words. From squeezing out toothpaste from its tube to trying to put it back in, as well as making positive labels for one another, students were challenged to watch the words that come from their mouths. Students saw how difficult it is to put toothpaste back in its original tube. The same principle applies to our words, once they are said it is difficult to take them back. It was great to finish the activity with creating positive labels for members in the group and learning how we all can be the ones to change the environment around us, simply by the small things - such as our words. Overall, the enjoyable activities and interactions among the students and their leaders have allowed the relationships to continue to build along with building unity and trust among the student body.
